Jessie J announced on Instagram on Monday, July 7, that her breast cancer had not spread following surgery to remove one of her breasts
In a video alongside the announcement, her son, Sky Safir, was captured sweetly saying, 'Mommy’s gonna be okay'

On Monday, July 7, the singer, 37, announced on Instagram that her cancer had not spread following her mastectomy.
On Monday, July 7, the star and her son Sky Safir, 2, whom she shares with partner Chanan Safir Colman, told her followers that she was “gonna be okay.”
In the clip, Jessie taught her son how to say, “Mommy’s gonna be okay,” which he sweetly repeated.
“And…I AM OK Results = I have NO cancer spread 😭😭😭 Happy tears are real 😭😭😭😭😭😭,” the “Price Tag” artist wrote in her caption. “Thank YOU for the prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy and all the positive energy. 🥹🫀= 🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋🔋.”

She continued, “This video is from the night before my surgery. We called it baby boy. You are my biggest ray of light and with you in my life the darkness will never win. ☁️🌞”
Jessie then went on to say that she was due to have one more breast reconstructive surgery following surgery to remove one of her breasts.
“Lots of healing to go and one more surgery to make these cousins look more like sisters. But for now it’s gratitude time and I am changing my name to The LopJess monster 🧟♀️🌶️🍈🍳,” her post concluded.

PEOPLE reported back in June that the singer had been diagnosed with early breast cancer, and earlier this month, she noted that she was missing being an "active mom" following her mastectomy but that she was enjoying the opportunity to "slow down."
"Sky is having a blast with Nanny and Grandad," she added on Instagram Stories at the time.

Speaking about her recovery journey, Jessie added, “It’s still uncomfortable” and “a little painful,” but she said that she could "handle that,” adding that she had been doing recovery exercises and “trying to eat super clean.”

The "Domino" singer also said that she had stopped taking pain medication, stating, “just not my thing. Also like to feel how it feels so I don’t overdo it.” Jessie added that she was feeling "positive and grateful" following the surgery.
The star first revealed her health diagnosis with fans on June 3 in an Instagram post.
“I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,” she wrote at the time. "I'm highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word early. I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period."
And on June 16, she announced to the sold-out crowd at Wembley Stadium in Wembley, U.K. that it was her "last show before I go to beat breast cancer!"
